Manchester CAZ may hit 90,000 vans

As many as 90,000 vans could be non-compliant with Greater Manchester’s conurbation-wide charging clean air zone (CAZ) when it comes into operation at the end of 2021, according to an assessment by the local authorities.

The ten Greater Manchester metropolitan districts submitted a clean air plan to the Government last March proposing a conurbation-wide Class B CAZ at the end of 2021 before extending this to a Class C CAZ from 2023 (LTT 01 & 29 Mar 19).
