AMs urge probe into Skates’ bus spend

Welsh First Minister Mark Drakeford has been urged to investigate whether transport minister Ken Skates broke the ministerial code when diverting bus funding to a service in Skates’ own constituency.

Skates top-sliced £80,000 from North Wales’ allocation of Bus Services Support Grant for 2019/20 to ensure the Wrexham-Llangollen bus service, primarily in his constituency, continued operating at enhanced frequency and with diversions to a railway station and school.
