Councils in Wales will have to set up joint committees for transport under legislative reforms being prepared by the Welsh Government. 

The forthcoming Local Government and Elections (Wales) Bill will feature powers to establish ‘corporate joint committees’ (CJCs), which, as bodies corporate, could employ staff and hold budgets.
