Bus industry seeks deal with capping and zero emissions

The Confederation of Passenger Transport has proposed a new deal for bus services to local and central government in England.

The Moving forward together strategy lists a set of ‘asks’ of government and a set of commitments that bus operators will deliver in return. The asks of government include:

a national bus strategy, developed with industry

future rounds of urban transport infrastructure funding with buses at the core

incentives for local authorities to set targets to speed up...
