Over the bank holiday my wife and I went to one of Kent’s leading castles for a themed Tudor weekend. We enjoyed the jousting, knights in armour on horseback, staged battles, ‘Henry the VIII and wife Anne Boleyn’ walking around, visitors of all ages getting their photo taken with them, music, several hundred people in period costumes, etc. Over the weekend there were thousands of children playing in the play areas, squealing and shouting, enjoying themselves, getting soaking...
