IONITY, a joint venture between Daimler, Ford, BMW and the Volkswagen Group with Audi and Porsche, is to work with the Extra MSA Group, which owns and operates motorway service areas (MSAs) across the UK.
IONITY has contracted to install high-power charging (HPC) stations at eight Extra MSAs, each initially featuring up to six 350kW chargers.
The agreement forms part of IONITY’s pan-European expansion, which will see up to 2,400 chargers installed by end of 2020.
