Council to demolish homes to solve air pollution problem

A row of homes on a road in South Wales are likely to be demolished to ensure the area complies with the EU limit value for nitrogen dioxide concentrations. 

Caerphilly County Borough Council’s cabinet last week approved a plan to purchase, via compulsory purchase if necessary, 23 properties along the south side of the A472 Hafod-yr-ynys Road.
