Community rail partnership groups are planning to take over the operation of Lancashire County Council’s travel information centres at Carnforth and Clitheroe. But centres in Preston bus station and Nelson interchange look set to close.
County councillors approved the closure of all four centres last February as part of budget savings but the council subsequently received expressions of interest from parties wanting to take over their operation.
