Traffic signals to cut high street NOx

Transport for London is to implement a new traffic signal strategy in Putney to cut vehicle emissions and air pollution on Putney High Street. London’s transport commissioner Mike Brown told TfL’s board: “Following trials in 2018 and discussions with borough officers in Wandsworth, agreement has been given to set up a new automated strategy which detects congestion and then changes the signal timings to hold traffic away from the high street in locations with better conditions...
