Crossrail 2 delivery could slip into the late 2030s, says NIC

The earliest opening date for London’s Crossrail 2 project appears to be slipping into the late 2030s, the Government’s National Infrastructure Commission (NIC) has said. 

Crossrail 2 would provide a new line across central London, connecting Network Rail lines in the south-west and north-east. The project is being promoted by Transport for London and Network Rail.
