Transport for London has submitted a Housing Infrastructure Fund bid to the Government for improvements to the East London Line. The bid includes investment to increase train frequencies to 20 an hour each way, a new station at Surrey Canal Road, and a second entrance at Surrey Quays station. TfL says the bid could support the provision of about 14,000 new homes by 2031. A decision is expected later this year. ...
