The Welsh Government’s draft budget for 2019/20 sets aside £2m for a bus review.
Bus operators have contrasted the allocation with the Government’s freezing of Bus Services Support Grant (BSSG), which itself was a 25% reduction on the predecessor grant to operators.
The Government is due to publish a White Paper on bus policy next month, and has said it will legislate in the next few years to improve consistency of supply (LTT 9 Nov).
