Middlesbrough tailors parking fees to needs of commuters and shoppers

Shoppers in Middlesbrough will continue to receive two hours free parking after an independent review’s recommendations were approved by the council.

The changes, which were approved by the authority’s executive, will see a refocusing of how Middlesbrough Council promotes its major central car parks: the Captain Cook and Zetland sites.

The current two hour’s free parking offer will continue at the 741-space Captain Cook car park but come to an end at the Zetland car park.
