‘Don’t allow HGVs into bus lanes’

Campaigners are urging Welsh transport secretary Ken Skates not to allow lorries to use bus lanes. Nick Jones, the traffic commissioner for Wales, suggested allowing lorries to use some bus lanes in his annual report. The idea is opposed by the Campaign for Better Transport, Cycling UK, Living Streets Cymru, Sustrans Cymru, and Brake. They say it will be bad for road safety, pollution exposure, bus journey time reliability, and will complicate the enforcement of bus lanes....
