Community energy companies are being urged to install electric vehicle (EV) charge points in their areas.

Many not-for-profit Community Interest Companies (CICs) were formed in Britain to install power generation equipment such as solar panels when the feed-in tariff guaranteed a generous price for the electricity produced.
