North East Combined Authority is calling on the DfT to include more of the area’s local authority roads in the new Major Road Network (MRN).
Shadow sub-national transport body Transport for the North included a proposed MRN for the north of England in its Initial Major Roads report last summer (LTT 23 Jun 17). NECA says this contained many more roads in the North East than the DfT’s version of the MRN published for consultation in December (LTT05 Jan).
