The National Infrastructure Commission (NIC) has invited organisations to enter a prize competition to propose how road design, traffic management and road rules and regulations should be changed to accommodate connected and autonomous vehicles (CAVs). 

The five best entries to the Roads for the Future competition will each receive £30,000 to develop their ideas, and the final winning entry will receive a prize of £50,000.
