Old electric trains for Wales

Five electric multiple unit trains previously used for Thameslink services will be deployed in Wales from next year, to provide additional capacity and assist with meeting mandatory disability requirements by 2020. The trains will be leased following an initial £1.9m investment by the Welsh Government and £1m from Arriva Trains Wales.
