The Midlands Connect partnership of local authorities and local enterprise partnerships is to identify a ‘major road network’ (MRN) for the area, combining Highways England roads and the most important local authority roads.
Consultants will be appointed to devise an MRN and assess it against a set of ‘conditional outputs’ to identify the performance gaps and prioritise where future investment should be targeted.
