The Scottish Government should think carefully before tabling legislation banning footway parking, says Renfrewshire Council.
Consultation ends next week on Transport Scotland’s possible reforms to parking laws (LTT 14 Apr). The consultation asks if a new law is needed to ban pavement parking, with councils able to exempt particular streets.
Renfrewshire says the need for new legislation must be “very carefully considered”.
