Reimbursement payments to bus operators in Scotland under the national concessionary travel scheme look set to be £20m lower than the budget cap set for the scheme this year.
In 2015 the Government set the cap for the scheme in 2016/17 at £212m but, with one month of the year remaining, Transport Scotland says actual expenditure is forecast to be just £192m.
