Wokingham to take over parking enforcement from the police

Civil parking enforcement is due to introduced across the borough of Wokingham in Berkshire in the autumn. Next month Wokingham Borough Council will be making an application to the Department for Transport (DfT) to take over civil parking enforcement (CPE) powers from the police, and once this is approved it will put a contract out to tender to run the operation in the borough.
