Don’t ignore those who voice concerns over fines, ombudsman tells councils

Councils must do more to make parking fines “fairer”, states a new report from The Local Government Ombudsman (LGO). The report - Fairer Fines, Ensuring good practice in the management of Parking and Traffic Penalties - highlights some of the common complaints it receives about parking and moving traffic penalties. The Ombudsman says people are sometimes being treated unfairly and may be paying fines unnecessarily.
