Bus operators attack town parking fund

The Welsh Government has set aside £3m for a pilot scheme to “support” town centre parking in its local government settlement for 2017/18. The funding is part of the minority Labour administration’s budget agreement with Plaid Cymru.

Some local media have stated that the aim of the pilot is to “end town centre car parking charges”, an expectation also voiced by the leader of Ceredigion County Council.
