Back in 2015, the Government announced that 35 councils would be awarded £7.8m, in grants of between £18,000 and £750,000, to deliver integrated transport pilot projects in rural areas. These Total Transport pilots would run for two years, with learning and networking between the authorities and DfT co-ordinated by myself.
