The Government has announced £137m to develop plans for a new railway and Expressway road in the Oxford-Milton Keynes-Cambridge corridor.

In his Autumn statement this week, the Chancellor Philip Hammond authorised £110m to take forward the East-West Rail project. Of this, £100m will be spent finalising plans for the western section, linking Oxford to Bletchley (near Milton Keynes) and on to Bedford.
