A £35m programme to boost sales of ultra-low emission cars and scooters has been announced by transport minister John Hayes. The funding allocation will be:
• £20m for a competition to help councils deliver chargepoints for ultra-low emission taxis
• up to £10m for chargepoints at workplaces and homes where there is no off-street parking
