Cost of new Scots rail stations trebles

The cost of building two new rail stations on the East Coast Main Line in South East Scotland has trebled following further design work by Network Rail. 

The stations at East Linton in East Lothian, between Drem and Dunbar, and Reston in the Scottish Borders between Dunbar and   Berwick, now have a combined estimated cost of £21.8m following completion of GRIP stage 3 option selection work.
