Operators have every right to fight bus contract powers

In his reply to my letter, Roger Sexton says that the bus industry seems to consider itself ‘immune’ from the principle that Parliament is entitled to pass legislation it considers for the public good (ibid).

Where on earth does he gets this view from – I am sure that, like everyone else in the industry, I fully recognise Parliament’s right to legislate on anything it wants – but surely that doesn’t stop me or anyone else arguing or lobbying against (or for)...
