Major changes to the London-West Midlands high-speed rail line have been rejected by the committee of MPs set up to scrutinise the Hybrid Bill.
The committee considered three proposals from campaigners for longer tunnels under the entire Chilterns Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty but concluded that the case has not been made for any of them.
