Spending cuts loom for Welsh transport

The draft Welsh budget for 2016/17 proposes a reduction of 6.5%, or 8.1% in real terms, in the resource budget of the Welsh Government’s department for economy, science and transport. Local government faces a 4.1% cut in its resource grant, with the biggest reductions falling on rural authorities.
