Scots budget sees rise in trunk road spending

The Scottish Government’s spending on transport will rise in real terms by 4% in 2016/17, according to the SNP administration’s draft budget.

Spending will rise from £2.080bn to £2.209bn (£2.172bn in real terms), with a big rise in motorway & trunk roads spend – up from £694.8m to £820.3m. 

Spending on the £1.35bn Forth Replacement Crossing project will fall from £219m this year to £134m – the new Queensferry...
