Two-way working at Elephant & Castle

The Elephant and Castle junction in south London returned to two-way traffic flow this week for the first time in 50 years, with the removal of the roundabout. Transport for London’s £25m programme will see the space created by removing the roundabout converted into public space. Subways will be replaced with pedestrian crossings and dedicated cycle routes will be created through and around the junction. A 20mph speed limit will be introduced in the spring. ...
