Councillors in the London Borough of Brent have approved a Play Streets policy, allowing the temporary closure of streets to through traffic. Bristol pioneered the Play Street concept in 2012 and they have since been introduced in Reading and, says Brent, in the London boroughs of Enfield, Islington, Lambeth, Camden, Croydon, Hammersmith & Fulham, and Newham.
