The North East Combined Authority has warned of spending cuts to public transport in Tyne and Wear from 2017, partly because the Quality Contract Scheme board has thwarted the plans to introduce a Bus Quality Contract in the conurbation.
NECA is expected to approve a public transport levy for Tyne and Wear for 2016/17 of £65.1m, a £2.8m cut on the current year.
