Law hampers community transport and bus integration

Proposals for community transport (CT) to feed bus routes would need careful legal planning because CT providers are barred from services that are incidental to profit, the Community Transport Association said this week.

The Welsh Government’s bus policy advisory group recently recommended pilot schemes to show how CT can be integrated into bus networks that are operated by commercial businesses.
