TfL needs to give cyclists green waves through junctions

I was chuffed to read that TfL plans to procure an automated predictive signalling system to optimise automated predictive signalling system to smooth traffic flows (‘Short-term traffic forecasts to help TfL combat capital’s jams’ LTT 07 Aug).

The article said it would take into account people walking, cycling or driving. What it didn’t allude to is the need to create the Copenhagen signalling situation where lights are phased to give a green wave for cyclists....
