The Scottish Parliament wants ministers to consider raising the speed limit for lorries to 50mph on more single carriageway roads.
In April the DfT raised the HGV speed limit from 40mph to 50mph on single carriageways in England and Wales. The Scottish Government, however, is only piloting the higher limit on the A9 between Perth and Inverness.
