Transport projects have secured a share of the £1bn Local Growth Fund grant awarded by the Government last week.
The funding for England’s 39 local enterprise partnerships (LEPs) comes on top of the £6bn announced last summer. The Government has pledged £2bn a year over six years (2015/16 to 2020/21), so about £5bn remains unallocated.
