Transport for Greater Manchester has launched a public consultation on extending the Metrolink light rail network to the huge Trafford Centre shopping mall. The line would branch off the Eccles line just after Ponoma station and serve five stops within the Trafford Park area before terminating near the Selfridges entrance to the Trafford Centre.
The route is a mainly off-street segregated alignment.
Consultation runs until 26 September. TfGM will then submit a Transport and Works Act...
