Bradford reviews councillor perks

Bradford Council is conducting a review of councillors’ expenses, which could cut how much they are reimbursed for parking costs.

The move comes after councillors were criticised by the TaxPayers Alliance for claiming more than £16,000 in car park expenses, despite being able to park for free in council-run car parks. 

Between April 2012 and December 2013 71 councillors claimed a total of £16,419 for parking at the NCP car park near City Hall.
