Bus-based Low Emission Zone for Brighton’s central area

Councillors in Brighton have approved a bus-based Low Emission Zone in the city centre. 

From 1 January 2015 buses entering the LEZ should be of Euro V emission standard, or have selective catalytic reduction technology to make them compliant with the standard.

But non-compliant vehicles that have an agreed replacement or retrofitting date will be granted a temporary exemption.
