Finnpark’s P-Hämppi in the city of Tampere was named Europe`s best car park

A car park created in a tunnel dug below a Finnish city won the New Car Park category in the European Parking Awards, which were presented in Dublin last month. A total of 29 participants from 12 European countries competed in the four categories.

New Car Park: The Finnish city of Tampere lacked sufficient parking to serve its city centre shopping malls and offices. With space at ground level scarce, the decision was taken to create a new public parking facility underground.
