Decarbonising Transport Awards 2026: Announcing the finalists!

23 January 2026

Landor LINKS and partners are delighted to announce the finalists for the Decarbonising Transport Awards 2026.

Following judging sessions earlier this month, the 17 independent Judges have reached their conclusions and are looking forward to announcing the winners at a Gala lunchtime Awards Ceremony on 27 March at the Royal Lancaster Hotel in London.

The Judges were impressed by the number and quality of the submissions received.

The Finalists can now be viewed here

The Judges collectively agreed that being listed as a finalist is an impressive achievement that reflects the strength and impact of entries in the inaugural year of this key event.

There were 16 Awards categories – orgainsed into three sections including People & Teams Awards, Category Awards and Special Awards – so there was plenty of opportunity to showcase projects, initiaves and leadership in this most critical area. Decarbonising transport and achieving net zero is the biggest challenge facing the transport sector.

The winners’ ceremony

The winners’ ceremony will be hosted by Robert Llewellyn, actor, comedian and writer. Llewellyn is famous for his media and event series Fully Charged / Everything Electric, and his roles in Scrapheap Challenge and the sci-fi sitcom Red Dwarf.

Wow! There are so many change- makers out there who are part of the decarbonisation journey

Glenn Lyons, Chair of the Decarbonising Transport Awards Judging panel, past president of the Chartered Institution of Highways & Transportation (CIHT) and Mott MacDonald Professor of Future Mobility, University of the West of England, said: "It’s the first ever Decarbonising Transport Awards and what a privilege to be one of the Judges!

"Given the state of global affairs, it was good for the soul at the start of 2026 to take a deep dive into the entries received for the Awards.

“I don’t intend to leak any clues here as to the specifics of submissions or what I’ve made of specific entries, but I would like to try and give a sense of the experience of my deep dive.

“My overall feeling can be summed up as follows. Wow! There are so many change- makers out there who are part of the decarbonisation journey. When you add them all up there is a sense that through collective endeavour we can put all the pieces of the transport decarbonisation puzzle together – and the emerging picture is uplifting.

“Now I’m not naïve enough to think that the sheer number of entries alone will change the world, but these are probably only the tip of the iceberg of what is going on nationally and internationally. And across the entries are stories of change that are collectively affecting hundreds of thousands if not millions of people. A few hundred here, a few thousand there; it all adds up! And change can be infectious.”
