The Mayor of London has said the New Bus for London is "unlikely to be compliant" with the ‘Ultra-Low Emission Zone’ that he is proposing for central London.

Stephen Knight, the Liberal Democrat London Assembly environment spokesperson, who asked the Mayor whether the bus would meet the pollution standards for the scheme planned for 2020, criticised the decision to “lock London into today’s diesel technology”.
