Pay & display phone parking has replaced the pay-on-exit system at a Bedford car park. Parking management firm Creative Parking has been appointed to remove the barrier system at the Greyfriars car park. A Metric Aura 2008 alpha numeric keypad model and the Phone and Pay mobile phone system will replace it.

Bedford Borough Council said the busy town centre site was often congested, with vehicles having to queue at the barrier before entering.
