The US state of Nevada has become what is believed to be the world’s first government body to award a licence to allow a driverless car to be tested on public roads. Internet search engine giant Google has obtained the licence to allow it to continue to test a modified Toyota Prius that uses video cameras mounted on the roof, radar sensors and a laser range finder to ‘see’ other traffic.
