I just read today the summary about the Portas Review in LTT (‘Free car parking vital to boost town centres, says PM’s high street guru’, LTT 16 Dec 11). She is supposed to be the guru of the Prime Minister. What kind of guru is this and what kind of PM do we have that he believes this rubbish? What she is suggesting means in effect turning back the clock about 50 years. This was exactly what everybody was thinking then. The more car parking spaces one had, the better it would...
