Breaking down the 124 million extra trips

According to the DfT’s central forecast there’ll be 335 million passengers passing through UK airports in 2030 – 124 million more than today. But the DfT says the figures represent only a relatively small change in the average number of flights taken each year by UK residents.

The Department breaks down the figure as follows:
