I read with interest the letter from Calum Alexander detailing his thoughts on Kent’s highways and transportation spending.
As has been widely reported Kent County Council, like others, has had to make huge savings across all of its departments. Roads and schemes such as Ashford’s shared space project are a very visible area we continue to invest in. Local businesses see public investment in transport infrastructure such as this as vital in developing the economy.
